CybExer Technologies has appointed Sten Feldman as Chief AI Officer – as the company strengthens its work in AI assurance and the development of cyber range capabilities for testing AI-enabled systems.
As AI reshapes cyber attacks, defensive operations and decision-making, cyber resilience can no longer be tested only through traditional human-led scenarios. We increasingly need to understand how AI agents and other AI-enabled systems behave under realistic pressure – and whether their actions can be trusted, verified and controlled.
At CybExer Technologies, this marks the next evolution of cyber resilience testing. The company’s work has long focused on helping customers understand how people, systems and decision-makers perform under the pressure of disruption. With AI becoming part of that environment, the challenge is becoming more complex – and the need for evidence-based assurance is increasingly critical.
“Cyber resilience needs to be tested differently today. As AI reshapes cyber attacks, defensive operations and decision-making, organisations face a critical question: how can they understand, assure and control these new behaviours under realistic pressure?” says Sten Feldman, Chief AI Officer at CybExer.
In his new role, Sten Feldman will lead CybExer’s AI assurance work, helping develop capabilities that allow AI-related risks, limits and opportunities to be tested in realistic, controlled cyber range environments.
Sten Feldman has been an essential part of the CybExer Technologies team for over eight years and brings extensive experience from his previous work with Skype and Microsoft. His appointment reflects CybExer’s ambition to support organisations facing increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and to help move AI assurance from assumptions to evidence.
The appointment marks an important step in CybExer’s development: from cyber ranges built for human decision-making and organisational resilience towards environments where AI agents, human teams and complex systems can be tested together.
Under Sten Feldman’s leadership, CybExer will further develop AI assurance capabilities, with a particular focus on critical infrastructure providers, financial institutions, government organisations and enterprises that need to know how their systems perform as AI reshapes the cyber threat environment.
CybExer looks forward to working with partners and organisations ready to explore what AI assurance means in practice.
