The fifth edition of the Middle East's largest financial-sector cyber exercise was conducted on CybExer's cyber range, bringing together more than 350 participants in Abu Dhabi.
CybExer Technologies was proud to support the 5th edition of Cyber Wargaming Exercise 2026, which was hosted by UAE Banks Federation (UBF) in its collaboration with Central Bank of the UAE and UAE Cyber Security Council.
Recognised as the largest initiative of its kind in the Middle East, the exercise brought together more than 350 representatives from UBF member banks, financial and technology institutions, and cybersecurity specialists to test and strengthen the sector's collective cyber resilience. Participating organisations included UBF member banks alongside Al Etihad Payments, e&, du and Gulf Insurance Group.
The exercise was keynote addressed by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of UAE Cyber Security Council, and H.E. Ebrahim Al Zaabi, Assistant Governor of Central Bank of the UAE.
Delivering an exercise of this scale depends on close coordination between many parties working alongside the underlying cyber range technology. CybExer worked in collaboration with its partners Spire Solutions, Risksight and egg events to prepare, run and support the event from end to end.
Conducted on CybExer's cyber range, the simulations gave participating teams a realistic, true-to-life environment in which to test their preparedness, response capabilities and coordination mechanisms against sophisticated cyber threats, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The event also recognised outstanding organisations and teams for their excellence in cybersecurity.
CybExer looks forward to continuing to strengthen the sector's cyber resilience alongside the UAE Banks Federation and its partners.
